About Greyhounds of New York City

Greyhounds of New York City & The Great Global Greyhound Walk

Greyhounds of New York City (GoNYC) is a Facebook community for adopters of retired racing Greyhounds and has grown to include Galgos, Lurchers and Greyhound crosses/mixes used for hunting throughout the U.S. and abroad.

Our group is made up of members living in the New York City area who are Greyhound adopters/fosters, former adopters/fosters or those who plan to adopt soon and are looking for a support and socialization network for themselves and their pups.

Each year GoNYC participates in the annual Great Global Greyhound Walk (GGGW) to help promote Greyhound breed awareness around the world.

This year's event was cancelled due to steady rain. Instead we are hosting a Fall Frolic. There will be free raffles and give aways.  One free raffle ticket for every sighthound in attendance. You'll need to get your raffle ticket at check in when you arrive.

See you there!
